So the question after our getting married and then ending up not getting insurance is/was "So why get married?" Well the act is I had very few rights (neither does Chris) if I am ill and in the hospital. I had made my uncle my health care proxy and my sister in law. Now that she is no longer my sister in law I was actually thinking of making Chris backup proxy, but I digress.
Thanks to Obamacare I can get insurance I can afford. I have a last name that fits on my drivers license, and my name no longer strongly resembles a porn star nomer.
Also most importantly we are actually in love, committed, and try and support each other and have many similar views.
I took some wise advice from a Aunt and started working on myself, and have Chris doing more things (Music, Skateboarding, Hiking with the dog) while I paint, craft, or just do a good workout by myself. It has actually made us closer.
Also we now grocery shop separate, have coffee together at 4-4:30 every day, do laundry, garbage, and final potty with the dog, together. But otherwise we do our own thing and it is working.
We made a contract that we are always going to have a dog and 2 cats, I said if we even move and after the turtle dies I want to get another Conure or a Ferret. (I miss Monkey and Red Man there is something different and adorable about Birdy Birds and trouser socks.)
So no, we are not having a baby, no we didn't get married for insurance, and no nothing other than my last name and job have changed. But I am happier and things are going.
Just a piece in the newlywed game, monopoly version.
Joy and Chris.
